A Red Front Door

There's something about a red front door that I love. I was just searching on Flickr for some red door pictures for Pink Mohair as she has decided to paint the front door to her gorgeous children's play house red and just needed some help with the hue of red to use. I found so many red front doors which I loved and I also found the blue front door below surrounded by red render and those gorgeous blue and white tiles laid in a zig zag design. It's amazing what you can find on Flickr!!

I Love Quadrille!!

I have to say that I am completely and utterly in love with Quadrille's beautiful fabrics. I first discovered Quadrille when I was in LA last year and ever since then I haven't been able to stop obsessing over my pint sized cuttings of the fabrics I selected in their LA showroom. When I was looking through Quadrille's website a few weeks ago I noticed they had some photos of Aerin Lauder's lounge room (in which some of their fabrics have been used) and also who can forget the gorgeous sofa in The Devil Wears Prada - covered in, you guessed it, a Quadrille fabric. So I will continue to be obsessed with these beautiful fabrics and I will be working a little harder to import some for Black & Spiro!!

We're In Inside Out This Month...

I'm very excited to announce that our Mother of Pearl inlaid chests were featured in this month's issue of Inside Out Magazine. Inside Out Magazine is one of my top 3 favourite magazines so to have our inlaid furniture featured this month is very exciting for me.

Ebay Chair

I just thought I would show you the fabulous faux bamboo chair I just purchased on Ebay. I'm so excited with it considering we don't usually see chairs like this on our Australian Ebay. I am going to use it as my desk chair in my office at home and I don't even think I will have to change the upholstery which is fantastic!!

No Chintz

I have long been an admirer of the No Chintz stores in Sydney. Owner Chrissie Jeffries also owns and runs Stitches Pty Ltd which is a trade only workroom for both designers and architects. No Chintz stores specialise in affordable yet very stylish fabrics and their online store is fantastic with a fabric swatch order service available - great for people who want to view the fabric in their home before they order.
